Although a stable epidemiological situation of measles was observed in Azerbaijan in accordance with preventive measures against infectious diseases in recent years, since April 2023, sporadic spread of measles among the population has been recorded, the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan released information in this regard, APA reports.
It was noted that the infection was majorly observed among children. In 2022, 1 person was infected with measles in Azerbaijan, but in January-November 2023, 1493 people were infected with this disease.
