Within the framework of measures to combat organized crime, 356, including 119 criminal groups that committed serious and particularly serious crimes, were neutralized, and 179 people who illegally kept and carried firearms were brought to criminal responsibility in Azerbaijan, this was unveiled at the Board meeting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in June 2024 dedicated to the results of operational activities and upcoming tasks, APA reports.
It was brought to attention that 2 tons of 844 kilograms of drugs were removed from illegal circulation and more than 296 tons of narcotic plants were discovered and destroyed.
It was emphasized that the performance of important tasks in the field of reception and consideration of citizens' applications is under constant control, in this regard, 2764 people were received with prior information in the media, and most of the issues raised have found their legal solution.
