Since the latest months of 2023, individual cases of hepatitis A virus infection have been recorded in different areas of the country, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.
In January of 2024, the Republic Hygiene and Epidemiology Center of the Ministry of Health has received reports of a number of cases of infection diagnosed with Hepatitis A in the Surakhani district of Baku.
"Currently, the epidemiological situation is under control, a decrease in the number of infection cases is observed. At the same time, works are being continued in the direction of washing, cleaning and neutralization of water lines and tanks," the Ministry noted.
