From today, Azerbaijan will not issue taxi pass cards to vehicles whose service life exceeds 8 years from the date of issue, it is reflected in the “Requirements for technical characteristics, interior and exterior design of vehicles used for regular passenger transportation and passenger taxis”, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on March 27, 2024 and entered into force on July 1, 2024, APA reports.
Also, to obtain access cards, taxi cars must meet at least the Euro-5 environmental standard. The colors of taxis were defined as white or red.
