On June 13, the second consultations were held in Baku between the Service of the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Office of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the participation of representatives of other authorized state bodies of Azerbaijan, press service of the Security Council told APA.
According to the report, the meeting of the delegations led by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov and the Secretary of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Viktor Mahmudov, held in accordance with the "Memorandum on Cooperation between the Service of the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Office of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan", exchanged views on issues of international terrorism, religious extremism, transnational organized crime, drug trafficking and the fight against cybercrime, the expansion of mutual activities in the field of military and military-technical cooperation, the intensification of relations in these areas, and the importance of mutual activities in the field of security and defense in complex conditions of increasing modern challenges and threats was noted.
During the talks, it was emphasized that the fruitful cooperation and strategic partnership between the two states, which are connected by unbreakable bonds of brotherhood and friendship, has developed in various fields since the beginning of our Victory history - National Salvation Day, especially in recent years, thanks to the efforts of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev and Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and a solid foundation has been created for its rise to a new level.
On June 13, the delegation visited the grave of the National Leader, Heydar Aliyev, and the Alley of Martyrs.
