Azerbaijan and Turkey eye to establish joint university in the field of medicine

It has been proposed to establish joint university in the field of medicine between Turkey and Azerbaijan, APA reports citing Anadolu Agency.

Chair of the board of the Association for the Management of Territorial Medical Units (TABİB) of Azerbaijan Ramin Bayramli has held several meetings in Turkey for developing of the road map in order to adapt the health systems.

The chair of TABIB has met with Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Unuvar and Rector of University of Health Sciences Dr. Cevdet Erdol within the framework of his visit to Turkey.

During the meeting, opportunities to develop cooperation for the training of medical personnel were discussed.

In a meeting that opening of branches of Ankara University and University of Health Sciences in Azerbaijan was proposed, opinions were voiced on the possibility of the establishment of an Azerbaijani-Turkish medical university as a symbol of brotherhood, if the country's leaders agree.
