At least 19 people have been killed after landslides and flash floods triggered by heavy rainfall in northern India, APA reports.
According to NDTV, 11 people died in the Jammu and Kashmir region, while several others remain missing. Search and rescue operations are continuing.
Floods and landslides caused extensive damage to residential areas in the Poonch and Rajouri districts. In the town of Poonch, dozens of vehicles were swept away or submerged by floodwaters.
In the northeastern state of Nagaland, at least eight people, including children, were killed in a landslide. Authorities have recovered four bodies from the debris, while rescue teams continue searching for others believed to be trapped.
