Another group of former IDPs returns to Shukurbeyli village in Jabrayil - UPDATED

The latest convoy of former internally displaced persons has arrived in Shukurbeyli village of Azerbaijan's Jabrayil district, APA reports.

9 families comprising 52 people have been resettled in Shukurbeyli village at this stage.

The families were presented with the keys to their new homes.

The key handover ceremony was attended by representatives of the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts and the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs.

Another convoy of former internally displaced persons has departed for Shukurbeyli village in Azerbaijan's Jabrayil district, the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons told APA.

As instructed by President Ilham Aliyev, the Great Return to the territories liberated from occupation is continuing, APA reports.

The families relocating to Shukurbeyli village in the Jabrayil district had been temporarily accommodated in various parts of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.

At this stage, 9 families, comprising 52 people, have been resettled in Shukurbeyli village.

The residents returning to their native homes expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive care provided by the state. They also thanked the brave Azerbaijani Army, its heroic soldiers and officers who liberated the country's territories from occupation, and honored the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in this cause.
