The way Azerbaijan is restoring its liberated territories is fantastic, said Charles Willey, a tourist from the U.S. state of California, during his visit to the city of Shusha, APA reports.
“I have been coming here for four years since the liberation of Karabakh. I have witnessed the reconstruction works being carried out in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur. The way Azerbaijanis are restoring these territories is truly fantastic. Three airports, numerous new highways and railways, and more. Four years ago, the walls in Shusha were crumbling, but now everything looks perfect. The city is very beautiful, and there is even a five-star hotel here. I am especially pleased about President Ilham Aliyev’s meeting with the Armenian leader in Abu Dhabi. I believe peace will bring more hope for economic success in the region,” the American tourist said.
