A week-long holiday has begun in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The Cabinet of Ministers decided to change work and rest days. December 31 is World Azerbaijani Solidarity Day, and January 1 and 2 is the New Year holiday. This year, December 30 is Saturday, December 31 in 2023 and January 7 in 2024 are Sundays.
According to the decision, in order to ensure the sequence of work and rest days, the places of the rest days of December 30, 2023, and January 7, 2024, and the respective working days of January 4 and January 5 have been changed.
According to the Labor Code, January 3, 2024, will be a non-working day as the 31st World Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis falls on a Sunday this year. So, since January 6 in 2024 falls on a Saturday, there will be 7 days in the New Year - December 31, 2023, January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, 2024 will be non-working days.
January 7, 2024 will be a working day.
