WHO positively assessed new preparation works done in Azerbaijan in fight against coronavirus

“Azerbaijan supports international efforts, global solidarity has always been important principle in foreign policy,” Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, said at a press conference organized by the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.

H. Hajiyev noted that in today’s global condition Azerbaijan supports international solidarity in foreign policy: “Azerbaijan effectively cooperates with the WHO in the fight against coronavirus. This cooperation has already reached a new level. The expert gropu of the WHO has been invited to Azerbaijan by Azerbaijani side. They higly appreciated the works done in the discussions with releavant bodies.”

H. Hajiyev noted that recently in the letter addressed to the President of Azerbaijan by the Director-General of the WHO, the work done to combat the virus has been considered considered exemplary: “ In the new statement issued by the WHO today, the new preperation works done in Azerbaijan have been assesed positevely.
