Taking into account the positive dynamics in the direction of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the Social Research Center of Azerbaijan conducted surveys among the population in order to find out the public opinion about it, the center told APA.
According to the results of the survey conducted in June 2024, 83.8% of the respondents answered "yes, I support", 13.5% answered "no, I do not support" to the "Do you support the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia?" question. 2.7% of them found it difficult to express their opinion on this question.
The results of the survey show that there is broad support for the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the society.
Surveys were conducted between June 10 and June 22, 2024, using computer-assisted personal (face-to-face) interviewing among 1,152 respondents aged 18 and older. The multi-level stratification method of probability sampling was used in the selection of the sample. The sampling frame was determined in accordance with the gender balance, education level and age distribution of the respondents according to official statistical data. Surveys covered 12 economic regions of the country (excluding East Zangazur and Nakhchivan).
