International Atomic Energy Agency to hold annual meeting on nuclear sciences

International Atomic Energy Agency will hold the annual meeting of its nuclear information system on November 1-5, 2008 in Vienna, Director of the Radiation Problems Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Adil Garibov told APA. Garibov will represent Azerbaijan at the meeting attended by more than 100 countries. He said IAEA will approve the projects carried out in Azerbaijan before the end of the year. “The work will begin after approval of these projects. Azerbaijan will allocate financial resources in 2011 for implementation of the projects. Preparation phase until 2011 will be financed by IAEA”. Garibov said nuclear research reactor had no serious affect on the environment and allocated area was expedient for this goal and now it is under the phase of documentation.
The nuclear research reactor and sterilization facility in Azerbaijan are going to be built in the special area near Khirdalan.
