Over 12 thousand people employed within 6 months of 2007

We employed more than 12 thousand people within 6 months of the year. 1644 of them have been employed through job fairs we held, chief of General Employment Department Anar Badalbayli participating in the seminar held in Ganja dedicated to the measures taken by Employment Service bodies within 6 months of this year said, APAâ€™s Western bureau reports.
18 job fairs were organized in the cities and regions of Azerbaijan at the beginning of the year. 1644 people have been employed in these job fairs.
Badalbayli speaking about the State Program on the implementation of Employment Strategy issued by Azerbaijani President stated that several issues on the program are in the agenda.
â€œThis is the State Program on Employment Strategy. This program is envisaging amendments in our laws, qualification of insurance system, analyze and qualification of labor market, employment and so on,â€ he said.
Badalbayli said that more than 6000 people were employed in western regions of the Republic within 6 months of this year.
More than 53 thousand job seekers have been registered in Employment Centers for employment in Republic. /APA/
