Internally displaced persons (IDPs) settled in the area between micro districts 7 and 8, Binagadi district, Baku are forced to leave the area due to the construction of new metro station by Baku Metro. IDPs objecting to this decision intend to protest outside the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.
11 families have already been moved in to empty area in Mushfiqabad , but have not been provided with living conditions. Khojavend resident Ramiz Mammadov told the APA that they were moved internally in the Mushfiqabad settlement by the officials of Binagadi district department of State Committee for refugees and IDPs.
“All our stuff was loaded into KamAZs belonged to Baku Metro and brought here. No one is interested in the life condition of 20 IDP families though we applied to the State Committee for IDPs and refugees several times. If continues this way we will hold protest actions in front of state bodies,” Ramiz Mammedov added.
Khojavand resident Abulfaz Ibrahimov said that officials of State committee for refuges and IDPs refuse to provide the refugees with houses and financial aid as if they are not registered as IDP in Binagadi district.
Azizaga Mammedov, head of Binagadi district department of State Committee for refugees and IDPs did not accept the remarks and added that 3 acres of land plot is allocated for each refugee family:” We will provide electricity line and water system to the refugees. Extra financial aid would not be contributed as they are not registered as IDPs in Binagadi district” he added./APA/
