Fuad Muradov elected chairman of Great Silk Road Youth Union

Baku - APA. Great Silk Road Youth Union was founded by 25 participating countries within the framework of the Great Silk Road International Youth Congress and Festival in Baku.

APA reports that the participants of the Congress discussed Baku Declaration on Great Silk Road Youth Union, the statutes of the union, chairmanship and bureau issues dealing with the establishment of the Youth Union. As a result of the discussion member of Azerbaijani Parliament, chairman of the National Council of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fuad Muradov was nominated as a candidate to the post of chairman of the union and 22 participating countries supported him during election.

In order to elect the deputy chairman and bureau members the countries participating in the congress were divided into four regional groups - Europe and Asia, Arabic and post-Soviet Union countries.

Then 4 deputy chairmen and 7 bureau members of the Union were nominated from Kazakhstan, Egypt, India and Hungary.

It was proposed to organize the next meeting of the Union in Kazakhstan in October.

25 countries located on the historic Great Silk Road participate in the event.
