SSAC chairperson announces reasons of certificates delay

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. â€œThe parents complain why the issue of education certificates is delayed. According to the presidentâ€™s order, the Ministry of Education must give databases to us. We noted that the SSAC will specify these bases and the work is continuing up to now.
Inaccuracies were revealed in surnames and patronymic names of 1800 pupils among more than 20 000 pupils who passed examination in Baku,â€ said chairperson of the State Student Admission Commission (SSAC) Maleyka Abbaszadeh at the press conference today, APA reports. She said that technical errors can also occur during this process: â€œBut even omitted letter could change the data. The Education Management Information System (EMIS) of the Ministry of Education has been operating for years and has a good structure, but information on database donâ€™t conform to reality. Education department of every region must enter the annual notes of its graduates to our database. EMIS should have e-information. But we didnâ€™t receive this information and it was gathered by regional educational institutions. Inconsistence has been identified in the marks of about 800 students during the yesterdayâ€™s logic verification in Baku. I was informed this morning that the bases on Baku have already been cleaned. SSAC has pure database which will be automatically transformed into the graduate student base. Mistakes in this base are impossible. If such cases occur in Baku, what does happen in regional educational bases?â€

The chairwoman of SSAC declares that toady e-information will be given to Baku City Department of Education and to Education Ministry that they can give the certificates to the pupils: â€œTo accelerate this process SSAC prepared and printed all the documents in electronic format for every school. The pupils will be given the real and the electronic certificate forms as well. But SSAC wonâ€™t require real certificates at the entrance exams, because SSAC will manage to provide each student with electronic certificate till October. Now we have all necessary equipment to perform it. We will put this information separately on the serverâ€.
