Wild life preservation areas made public in Azerbaijan

APA reports that Deputy Director of the Department of Biological Diversity Protection and Specially Protected Nature Areas Development of the Ministry Hiktmat Alizadeh said that hunting has been prohibited in Aghdam, Khanlar, Goranboy, Dashkasan, Gadabay and Terter regions, the islands of the Caspian Sea, in green zones, in the specially protected areas and in 1 km areas around the recreation areas.

According to him, the permission for hunting is to be obtained from Baku Ecology and Natural Resources Department and territorial Ecology and Natural Resources offices. Alizadeh announced one-off hunting permission costs. He said that AZN 2.20 for hare, AZN 3.96 for jackal, AZN 1.65 for raccoon and beaver, AZN 24.75 for he-goat, AZN 16.50 for boar.

The hunting season for 2012-2013 has been opened in Azerbaijan on June 2.
