Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Several employees of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) exceeded their authority in the incident during the removal of illegal buildings in Sulutepe settlement of Baku, SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev told reporters.
Abdullayev also made comments on beating of journalist Idrak Abbasov during the incident. “SOCAR impartially investigated the incident and identified that several of its employees exceeded their authorities. They will be punished. I have to say that there is no journalist beaten in that incident. The person, who claims that he was beaten, had no ID card confirming his professional activity. We know that this person and his brothers have illegally-constructed houses and lands in Sulutepe. There are some groups, which illegally seize and sell the lands thereâ€.
