Baku. Ramil Mammadli - APA. A presentation of MP Ganira Pashayeva-authored film on Azerbaijanâ€™s national hero Naig Yusifov was held in the cinema hall of the Azerbaijan Cinematographers Union.

Ganira Pashayeva briefed the participants about the creation of this film, saying promoting such heroes is vital for the Azerbaijani society.

"They were martyred in the best years of his life. Such heroes as Naig Yusifov are an example for the Azerbaijani youth. Along with these heroes, we must also promote their families since their parents are heroes as well. We must introduce them to young families. There have been many heroes from Naig Yusifovâ€™s bloodline. Among them, there was a hero of the Soviet Union,â€ she added.

Ganira Pashayeva expressed her wish that such films be often frequently shown on TV channels of Azerbaijan.

The MP also noted that a website on the National Heroes of Azerbaijan will be launched.

"We will hold a presentation of this site. Some people want the government to do all the work. Who is the government? Of course, the government is us. We all must understand this. Better-off people should provide financial support for these matters. The better we learn and teach about our heroes, the more heroes we will have,â€ she underscored.

Then, the film was displayed for the audience.

Naig Yusifov was born in the village of Agdam in Tovuz Region on January 5, 1970. When the Karabakh war broke out, he enlisted in the volunteers detachment.
In a battle against the Armenians who attacked the village of Kokha-Nebi (Tovuz), Naig Yusifov detonated a grenade on his chest, destroying a few enemies on March 24, 1992.
Naig Yusifov was posthumously awarded the title of the "National Hero of Azerbaijan" under a Decree of the President of Azerbaijan on June 7, 1992.

The local school which he went to is named after him.
