Education Ministry holds conference â€œStrategic opportunities of Azerbaijan National Parents-Teachers Associationâ€

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. Conference on the theme â€œStrategic opportunities of Azerbaijan National Parents-Teachers Associationâ€ has been held in the Education Ministry today, APA reports. Addressing the conference Education Minister Misir Mardanov said the aim of the conference is to help improve the relations of parents with schools and teachers.
â€œFor long years parents had little contacts with schools. Unfortunately, in most cases these contacts were not in favor of the education. Such factors do not only have negative influence on the quality of education, but also cast shadow on good activities. Where are the negative talks on education sourced from? Of course, from pupils and their parents. Regulation of the relations between parents and teachers is important to ensure the quality of education,â€ he said.

According to Misir Mardanov, Parents-Teachers Association was established within the framework of the program implemented by UNICEF and Education Ministryâ€™s Youth Organization â€œHopeful futureâ€ in 2002 and was registered by the Justice Ministry.

Parents-teachers unions set up in over 1000 schools are full members of the National Parents-Teachers Association.
