Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. “We are conduction regular monitoring of quality of foods. Similar monitoring is conducted at the fuel stations too and some problems were found out with the quality and quantity of the fuel sold to the consumers”, chairman of the State Committee for Standardization, Patent and Metrology Ramiz Hasanov told journalists, APA reports. He said fuel quality didn’t meet standards and there were some problems with quantity as well. “The problem is that they mix additives to the fuel in some filing stations and mixed high-octane and low-octane fuels. We are taking measures to prevent such cases and to fine owners of those stations”.

Ramiz Hasanov said new European standards would be implemented in the field of food industry in 2010. “We will implement those standards to increase our export capacity”. The committee chairman said they were planning to open Etalon Center next month. We will purchase all equipments within that program and open the center”.
