Guba. Konul Abdullayeva â€“ APA. Border and customs control in the passenger trains en route Azerbaijan-Russia and Russia-Azerbaijan have been simplified. It was said at the event on the theme â€œImproving customs and border control in the international passenger trainsâ€ in Yalama Border Checkpoint of Azerbaijan-Russia border, APAâ€™s north bureau reports.

Chief engineer of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Gurban Nazirov, chief of â€œSernishindashimaâ€ Production Unit Elyar Muradov, chief of the Department for Organizing Customs Control of Azerbaijan State Customs Committee Shahin Bagirov and representatives of the State Border Service attended the event. It was said that time will not be lost any more in the border and customs control, the new system is applied to ensure fulfillment of the convention on â€œSimplification of border terms in international passenger trainsâ€, comfort of the passengers, improve the work of the Yalama Border Checkpoint.

It was noted that the control in the passenger trains en route Azerbaijan-Russia will begin at Khachmaz station and end at Yalama station. The control in the passenger trains en route Russia-Azerbaijan will begin at Yalama station and end at Khachmaz station. A number of measures have been taken to strengthen the control in border and customs checkpoint and improve the service. The monitors will make it available for the frontier guards to watch the park of Yalama station at a 1500m distance and take urgent measures to prevent an unpleasant event.
