WHO warns: 1/3 of world population to be infected with â€œswine fluâ€

According to WHO, 1/3 of world population will be infected until the last phase of epidemic. Experts said recent increasing of infection cases in India enabled them to make such conclusion. 78 new infection cases were identified in this country on November 30. As veins contract in winter, blood circulation weakens and most viruses become dangerous in this season.â€

According to the report, with the coming of winter, more people have been infected with A/H1N1 in the northern hemisphere and Europe.
â€œThe number the infected people reduced in America. But according to the recent reports of WHO, 850 people died of swine flu in Europe and America within the recent week. The mutation of the virus was recorded in France, Norway, China and Ukraine. WHO experts are concerned over the situation in China, as there is still bird flu epidemic in the country.â€

Deputy director of the Republic Anti-Plague Station Shair Gurbanov told APA it was known beforehand that the pandemic would accelerate.
â€œThe reduce of the pandemic may be possible only in spring. The virus has almost spread in al countries. The main danger may happen if the virus mutates,â€ he said.
Gurbanov said all states may face danger. The situation concerning the swine flu is under control in Azerbaijan.
â€œThe measures produce results. We have cured the virus-infected persons and prevented the spread of the virus. If we work so, no serious danger is expected in Azerbaijan,â€ he said.
