Over 310 kg of expired food found in retail outlets, Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-ECONOMICS. Azerbaijanâ€™s State Service for Consumer Market Control has held a regular monitoring of food products sold in stores.

During the monitoring, expired food products including confectionery, sausages, oil, baby food, beers, milk and dairy products, soft drinks, and other products weighing over 310 kg were found in several stores in Baku and other cities. The expired products were withdrawn from sale and destroyed.

For wrongdoing, several individuals were administratively disciplined.

The State Service for Consumer Market Control requests the consumers to call 498-15-01 and 498-15-04 to report the cases of expired or low-quality products.
