Meeting held on enteric infection control

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. Public Health and Reforms Center of the Health Ministry of Azerbaijan hosted a meeting on enteric infection control held by the European regional Bureau of the World Health Organization, press service of the ministry told APA. Participants of the meeting reviewed the indications of rotavirus control carried out with WHO support in 2007-2009 and discussed the state and existing requirements on the enteric infection control within the modern opportunities (disease control data bank, enhancing of lab opportunities), including the epidemiological and laboratory components. They also presented and discussed preventive methods against the enteric infection and prepared recommendations on the basis of the results of determination and discussion of priorities in this field.

Representatives of WHO, Public Health and Reforms Center, Republican Hygienic and Epidemiological Center, Baku City Health Office, Republican Anti-Plague Station, Water Transport Hygienic and Epidemiological Center, Pediatric Research Institute, Office of Rostropovich-Vishnevskaya Foundation in Azerbaijan, Hygienic and Epidemiological Center of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, hygienic and epidemiological centers of districts of Baku City, attended the meeting.
