Most of the infected people arrived from Ukraine and three were in contact with them. “One Azerbaijani student educated in Turkey was identified virus-infected on arrival in Azerbaijan. One of the infected people is a British citizen. He arrived in Azerbaijan for business”.

Aliyeva said all infected people were in normal condition and some of them were already released from the hospital and others undergo ambulatory treatment. There is no death case among the “swine flu” infected people. “Houses and territories where the infected people live were disinfected. The medical centers intensified their work for prevention of AH1N1 virus spread in Azerbaijan”.

First “swine flu” infection case was identified in Azerbaijan in July, 2009. Those people recovered and left the hospital. A resident of Kurdamir region of Azerbaijan was identified infected on arrival from Ukraine on November 4. The Health Ministry confirmed two infection cases on November 5 and 8 on November 9. On Wednesday one more infection case was identified.
