Azerbaijani scientists discover biologically active substance for full treatment of brucellosis in animals

He said Azerbaijani scientists have researched the methods of treatment of brucellosis since 2006. â€œThere were series unsuccessful experiments in the world for treatment of brucellosis, but the bioactive substance discovered by the Azerbaijani scientists put an end to concerns over this disease. It has no analogue in the worldâ€.

Hasanov said the bioactive substance received patent in 2008 and then was proposed for implementation in the regions. 100-percent successful results were achieved during the treatment of animals in the farms of Khacmaz, Ganja, Goranboy, Astara, Imishli regions, as well as Mashtaga and Ramana villages of Baku. The animals recovered in five days after two-day treatment with this substance. The chief of the veterinary service said it would prevent brucellosis among the population as well. â€œMore than 20 percent of animals and nearly 8000 people suffered from this disease in Azerbaijan in 2001. Now disease cases among the people were reduced 50 percent. The cases among the animals reduced 0.4-0.8 percentâ€.

New injection will not require heavy expenses. The injection of large-horned animals will cost 20 AZN and small-horned â€“ 12 AZN. The new substance will be spread in the world after the implementation in the country.
