Lankaran. Ageddin Babayev – APA. 390 out of 1604 people registered in Lankaran TB Dispensary suffer from active tuberculosis, head physician of the dispensary Nureddin Gurbanov told APA’s south bureau. He said 149 people were registered as TB patients, this is 13 people more compared with the reporting period of last year. 82 of the patients are men, 68 women.

According to the head physician, the number of the patients increased as good working conditions have been created and the dispensary has been supplied with the modern equipment. He added that all people over 7 years should have an X-ray once in six months.

Gurbanov said the sale of the medicines used in tuberculosis treatment was banned in drugstores, the dispensary provides all registered patients with medicines.
“We will make Mantoux test in the secondary schools. Our aim is to reveal people predisposed to tuberculosis,” he said.
