Baku secondary schools to be disinfected against â€œswine fluâ€

She said the disinfection would be conducted according to the warning letter from the Baku City Hygienic and Epidemiology Center. â€œRecently secondary schools were closed in Turkey and Russia because of â€œswine fluâ€ spread, which concerns the Azerbaijani community. There is no basis for serious concern about the â€œswine fluâ€ infection in Azerbaijan yet, but it is expedient to conduct disinfection work among the population, including the educational centers as well. The schools will be disinfected this weekendâ€.

Aligizi said the schools would work in normal next week. â€œWe warn the parents if they watch signs of flu in their children let them not to go o he schoolâ€. Aligizi said heads of medical points at the schools was also warned to enhance preventive measures. If they see any sign of flu in the children, they must isolate them immediatelyâ€.

Disinfection will be conducted at the secondary schools first. There are 326 schools under the Baku City Education Office and nearly 326 000 children are studying there.
