One-man business rate increases in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. The number of tax-registered owners, who donâ€™t establish legal entities, reached 281 750 to October 1, 2009 in Azerbaijan.
42.2 percent of them are traders, 20.4 percent carry on transport business, 10.3 percent â€“ services and 9.6 percent â€“ agriculture, the State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.

Most of one-man businessmen are working in the economic regions of Baku (35.7%), Lowland (18.7%) and Ganja-Gazakh (10.9%). As a result of land reform and privatization of lands, the number of families included in the State Registration of Statistical Units exceeded 850 000, which is 95 percent of persons, receiving land shares.
