1st Korea Education Exhibition opens in Baku

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva - APA. The 1st Korea education exhibition has opened in Baku today, APA reports. The exhibition is supported by Education Ministry, Korean embassy in Azerbaijan, SEBA (Seoul-Baku) Azerbaijan-Korean Cultural Exchange Association, Korean Ministry of Tourism. 13 outstanding higher schools of Korea are participating in exhibition. Education Minister Misir Mardanov said cooperation in education between Azerbaijan and South Korea is developing year-after-year.
“Azerbaijan is interested in Korean universities. Over 60 Azerbaijanis are studying in Korea. We intend to increase their number,” he said.

Ambassador of South Korea to Azerbaijan Yu Kwang Cho said diplomatic relations were established between Azerbaijan and Korea in 1992. Embassies were opened in both countries in 2006-2007. The ambassador said Korea is cooperating with Azerbaijan in economy, politics, science, education, tourism and sport and added that the exhibition will help the Azerbaijani youth to get acquainted with the Korean universities.
The exhibition will last till 18.00.
