Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. Azerbaijan’s Health Ministry gave a positive reply to the letter of the World Health Organization (WHO) for buying vaccines against A/H1N1 (swine flu), chief of Health Ministry’s epidemiological control sector Viktor Gasimov told APA. He said the ministry received the WHO’s letter last week. But it is not exactly known how many vaccines will be brought to Azerbaijan.
“Correspondence with WHO continues. We should determine the number of the vaccines, define who will be vaccinated first,†he said.
Gasimov said the doctors, who are in close contact with the infected persons, will be vaccinated first of all.
There are about 90,000 doctors in the country. Frontier guards, customs officers, police, patients, children under 15, pregnant women will also be vaccinated first.
