Public Union of Azerbaijan Anti-Mine Campaign started new project for the mine victims in the country, the union’s chairman Hafiz Safikhanov told APA.
The project aims to give interest-free loans to the mine victims in Fuzuli, Terter and Tovuz regions for the development of small businesses. It is funded by the Canadian embassy in Azerbaijan. The mine victims will attend the workshops on legal and economic aspects of small business in the first phase of the project.
The mine victims submitted their business plans to the Public Union, which selected one project from each region. The funded projects cover the spheres of agriculture and sale of mobile phones and their accessories. 3000 USD were allocates for each region.
