ANAS Geology Institute to organize competition for young scientists

Baku â€“ APA. The Institute of Geology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences is planning to organize intellectual competition â€œDevelopment of sciences and new achievementsâ€ between the young scientists, spokesman for the Institute of Geology Said Huseynov told APA.

The competition was initiated by the Instituteâ€™s Young Scientists Council on the basis of order signed by President Ilham Aliyev on May 4, 2009 on the State Program for the implementation of National Strategy for the development of sciences in 2009-2015. It aims to assist the young people to achieve successes.

Applications will be received from October 15 to November 15. The participants will report on November 24-25 about their ideas, achievements, current problems of the sciences, and successful researches in the laboratories. 30 participants will be selected by the ANAS experts. All finalists will receive certificates and diplomas and be awarded with prizes and valuable gifts.
