Conference held on 70th anniversary of Orientalist Aida Imanguliyeva

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. The State Committee on problems of Family, Women and Children and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences have jointly organized a conference on the occasion of 70th anniversary of outstanding orientalist Aida Imanguliyeva. The winners of the competition dedicated to the memory of Aida Imanguliyeva were awarded at the conference, APA reports.

Chairperson of the State Committee on Problems of Family, Women and Children Hicran Huseynova called Aida Imanguliyeva a great scientist, pedagogue and very good person. She gave great attention to the young scientists and researchers and therefore it was decided to hold competition among the young researchers of Arab literature, Huseynova said. â€œThis competition will be good contribution to the Aida Imanguliyevaâ€™s memory. She spent all her lifetime to the popularization of the Azerbaijani sciences in the worldâ€.

Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies Govhar Bakhshaliyeva called Aida Imanguliyeva a one of the most outstanding women of 20th century. â€œBase line of the Aida Imanguliyevaâ€™s creative work is the uniting of Eastern and Western civilizations. She played great role in the forming of school of Arab Studies. Azerbaijan will host the International Ibn Arabi Symposium of the Researchers of Arab Studies on the occasion of Aida Imanguliyevaâ€™s 70th anniversary. This symposium will contribute to the wide popularization of Azerbaijani sciences in the worldâ€.
