Council of State Support for NGOs and Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation sign memorandum

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. Council of State Support for NGOs under Azerbaijani President and Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation signed a memorandum on cooperation, the councilâ€™s press service told APA. Chairman of the council Azay Guliyev and executive director of Baku office of the foundation Farda Asadov signed the document. The sides confirmed that they will raise awareness on the role of civil society in Azerbaijan and involvement of NGOs in socio-economic development, support the establishment of Donors Coordination Council to strengthen the relations among the donors in Azerbaijan and coordinate activity.
The above-mentioned organizations agreed to a hold a joint Conference to increase the transparency in the activity of NGOs and shift to the good management standards, offer joint financial assistance to the projects on accounting and hold grant competition on the theme â€œAzerbaijanâ€™s mutual relations with the European Unionâ€.
