German universities hold education fair in Baku

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. An education fair of German universities was organized in Baku by the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan, German Academic Exchange Program (DAAD), German embassy in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani embassy in Germany, APA reports. 22 universities participated in the fair.

Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Misir Mardanov said the fair aimed to make Azerbaijani students more familiar with the German universities and to extend the relations. â€œMore than 1000 Azerbaijani students have got an education in Germany within the DAAD projects since 1993 and returned home. The number of students passing academic programs in Germany will be increased in the next few yearsâ€.

German ambassador to Azerbaijan Per Stanchina said his country supported education programs for talented students in Germany and Azerbaijan. â€œBoth countries earn from the academic exchange programsâ€. The ambassador reminded that education fee in Germany is lower than other European countries.
