Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Azerbaijan Ministry of Emergency Situations made a statement on the results of torrential rains in Azerbaijan. According to APA, the ministry said weather sharply changed in the country beginning from September 20 and torrential rains caused flood in Hajigabul region, Navahi village, as well as roadside of Baku-Hajigabul highway.
The torrential rains fell in Narakan, Alexeevka, Godakli, Magsudkend and Lajat villages of Khachmaz region, Yasaboba, Anigoba and Hiloba villages of Gusar region caused floods around the bridges and water pipes over the Khanarkh channel.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations sent rescuers and technical equipment to lift results of floods in Hajigabul and Khachmaz regions. The people were evacuated from the disaster zones and rescuers began pumping of water from the flooding areas.
The rescue measures are continued.
