Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. Chairwoman of the State Committee on Women and Children Problems Hicran Huseynova met with the delegation led by honorable president of the Belgian Senate Anne-Marie Lisin. According to APA, the committee chairwoman said Azerbaijan was always pursuing strong and government-controlled policy on women. “Azerbaijan is only country in CIS which established the committee of womenâ€. Huseynova said her committee had international cooperation with the number of countries and it was interested in the extensive cooperation with Belgium as well.
Anne-Marie Lisin said Azerbaijani women knew and could defend their rights, which was an argument in the European Union’s policy in favor of Azerbaijan. “One of the main EU requirements is gender equality in the familyâ€.
