Roundtable on tourism held within the framework of Azerbaijan-Latvia business forum

Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. Roundtable on tourism was held within the framework of Azerbaijan-Latvia business forum in Baku, APA reports. The event was organized by Azerbaijani Export & Investment Promotion Foundation (AzPROMO) and Latvian embassy in Azerbaijan with support of Economic Development Ministry. Representatives of Azerbaijani and Latvian state bodies and a number of travel agencies attended the roundtable. The participants gave information about investment environment and business opportunities, tourism potential of both countries and discussed prospects of cooperation.
Head of Latvia Tourism Corporation Yurgis Abele told media representatives that Azerbaijan and Latvia had high-level cooperation in tourism. He said Latvian President Valdis Zatlers’ current visit to Azerbaijan will strengthen the cooperation in this field.
Head of Spare Travel Agency of Latvia Ivonna Kezbere told journalists that there was close cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of tourism.
Kezbere underlined that the global financial crisis also influenced tourism of Latvia.
