Azerbaijan gets maximal points form viewers in “Eurovision-2011” contest - <font color=red>PHOTO </font>

Baku. Ulker Gasimova - APA. European Broadcasting Union (EBU) officially revealed the split televoting and jury voting results of the Semi-Finals and Final of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. APA reports quoting the contest’s official website that there are interesting moments in the results. Viewers at home also ranked winner Azerbaijan (223) first, while juries of music industry professionals had Italy (251) on top of their list. Jury gave 182 points to Azerbaijani representative Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal. The results say that Azerbaijan became winner at the cost of viewers’ vote. Azerbaijan was declared winner of “Eurovision” with 221 points contest after common counting of votes.

Slovenia (160), Austria (145), Ireland (119), Ukraine (117), Serbia (111), Georgia (110), Sweden (106) and Germany (104) are among the countries which were given the high points from jury.

Russian representative Aleksey Vorobyov got the minimal points from jury in the final held on May 14. Jury gave Vorobyov 25 points. Spain got 38 points from jury. The viewers gave minimal points to Switzerland. They gave to Swiss representative 2 points.

1 to 8, 10 and 12 points were given by juries and televoters in each country, then combined, and the combined top-10 would determine the actual vote given by that respective country (final result), whereas jury and televoting counted for 50% each. In each country, the top ten entries of the jury receive 1 to 8, 10 and 12 points. Then, the top ten of the televoters also receives 1 to 8, 10 and 12 points. These two lists are combined by the contest’s voting partner Digame.
