Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. Azerbaijan will hold semifinal of national selection tour for Eurovision 2010 on February 2 in Buta Palace in Baku. Members of national selection jury have already been elected, spokesman for Azerbaijan Public Television Tahir Mammadov told APA. But their names were not announced.
Jury members will chose three finalists among six candidates-semifinalists and one of them will be selected to represent Azerbaijan at the Eurovision 2010 Song Contest in May, 2010 in Oslo. The name of national selection winner will be announced later in February, said Tahir Mammadov.
Six candidates – Azad Shabanov, Maryam Shabanova, Safura Alizadeh, Ulviyya Rahimova, Elli Michiyeva and Milk&Kisses will participate at the semifinal on February 2 in Buta Palace. Eurovision winners Alexander Rybak and Ruslana, third prizewinner Aysel Teymourzadeh are also expected to perform at the concert.
