Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. “If the participant countries don’t take interest in Eurovision Junior Song Contest we will not hold it. If there is a show, it means there is an interest to the contest. We are hopeful that there will be more than 13 participant countries in the next Junior Contest”, said EBU’s Executive Supervisor Svante Stockselius in an online conference, APA reports.

The executive supervisor said Junior Eurovision Song contenders were reduced due to budget problems of some countries, less interest among the children, not suitable time and etc.

Stockselius said they were planning to hold Junior Eurovision after the Eurovision 2010 Song Contest in Oslo this May. “Junior Eurovision 2010 will be organized by Minsk-based Belteradio, which seriously attached this issue and won for two times. I think Belarusian representatives won the contest because of good songs and good performance”, said the executive supervisor.
