Azerbaijanâ€™s Eurovision 2010 representative to be selected among six on February 2 â€“ <font color=red>LIST - PHOTOSESSION </font>

According to the press service, the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company has made serious preparations and taken a number of steps to represent the country. Head of the Azerbaijani delegation for Eurovision Adil Karimli said the Public Television held several selection rounds, the videos of over 30 young performers were assessed by local and foreign specialists.
â€œWe have come to the conclusion to hold semifinal to determine Azerbaijanâ€™s representative in Eurovision 2010 on February 2. The date of the final has not been fixed yet. It is not yet known how many persons will reach the final. We hope Europe will like and vote for rich Azerbaijani music again,â€ he said.

The names of the semifinal participants have been publicized: Azad Shabanov, Milk $ Kisses group, Maryam Shabanova, Safura Alizadeh, Elli Michieva and Ulviya Rahimovas.

This stage will be broadcasted on television and internet. The semifinal stage will take place in Buta Palace on February 2. The selection will be organized in Eurovision format. The participants will be given three minutes to perform, there will be maximum six persons on the stage. The Public Television has a surprise for Eurovision fans. Winner of Eurovision 2004 Ruslana, winner of Eurovision 2009 Alexander Rybak and Azerbaijanâ€™s representative in Eurovision 2009 Aysel will participate in the semifinal stage to support the youth.

Azerbaijan has been participating in Eurovision since 2008. The country took the 8th place in 2008 and 3rd place in 2009. The project implemented by Azerbaijan Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company with the support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Youth and Sport Ministry plays an important role in promoting the national music and culture in the world.
