Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. €24 million is expected to be spent to organizing Eurovision 2010 in Oslo, Norway next May, APA reports quoting the contest’s website. Norway’s television NKR, Eurovision 2010 host, says earlier they calculated €17 million expenditures, but then this figure was raised. “We calculated the budget on the basis of expenditures in Helsinki contest, but it is expected to be raised on the eve of show. Eurovision 2010 will coincide with the national holiday of Norway. Therefore Eurovision staff, who will work on holidays too, should receive additional money, which will increase the budget”. The NKR calculations showed that Norway will earn €9 million from the Eurovision contest 2010 at the expense of bookings and €3.5 million granted by the European Broadcasting Union.

Eurovision 2009 Moscow budget was €27 million. The Eurovision 2010 will be organized at Telenor Arena in Oslo next year. The semifinals will take place on May 25, 27 and final – on May 29.
