He made the remarks at a press conference on the forthcoming visit of Pope Francis.
Pope Francis is due to pay a visit to Azerbaijan on Oct. 2.
The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has been going on for about 25 years, and this a painful problem for all Azerbaijanis, said Feteke.
“The Catholic Church states that all of us are brothers. We think that all conflicts must be addressed through negotiations,” he said. “Pope Francis always states that war and violence beget more violence.”
