No Nursist religious community registered in Azerbaijan: State Committee

Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu – APA. No religious community representing any radical religious sect, including Nursists has ever registered at the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, Gunduz Ismayilov, the committee’s deputy chairman, told reporters on Monday.

He noted that the State Committee registers religious communities, not radical sects.

“Back in 2009, we imposed a ban on the import and publication of Nursist religious books,” he added.
