Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh: â€œI am against the demolition of Abu Bakr mosqueâ€

Muslim is the Muslim, how you can name it. The question is about how the mosque was built, but not about its demolition. There is no guilt of mosque or believers. No one has a right to demolish the Abu Bakr mosque. I am against itâ€, said chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh, APA reports. Pashazadeh said he was against the demolition of Armenian church at one time. â€œI will not be a Sheikh, if I support demolition or closing of prayer houseâ€, said the Sheikh. â€œThe question is about some five-ten people, who are using Abu Bakr mosque for their interests. The believers are not guilty. The question is about those who violate the laws. If they had opportunity they should prevent construction of the mosque at the time. We are waiting now for the investigation results. The mosque probably will be reopened after the investigation completesâ€.
Pashazadeh said some illegal actions were allowed earlier. â€œThey committed some legal actions when the mosque was founded. Let those people to take responsibility before the law. We had regular contacts with the mosque and its imam Gamat Suleymanovâ€.

The Sheikh spoke about the Divinity mosque built near the Baku State University and Martyrs mosque built near the Alley of Martyrs. â€œWe asked how the Divinity mosque will provide its activity? They told us it is not your matter and donâ€™t interfere. They built it and appointed its imam and Akhund. And now they say why the Sheikh is not seeing it? They didnâ€™t ask us anything when built the Martyrs mosque. I was against the style of construction of minarets there. I told them that they should follow the national traditions. And now they say why the clerical office doesnâ€™t react. The question is not about the top stratum, some workers under it are doing mistakes. I know all these people. We were always for the legal issuesâ€.
