Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Roman Catholic Religious Community sign Memorandum of Cooperation

Baku. Lachin Sultanova â€“APA. Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Roman Catholic Religious Community have signed Memorandum of Cooperation on Friday. President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, member of the parliament Mehriban Aliyeva and leader of the Catholic Community Jan Chapla signed the document, APA reports. The sides will realize development and reconstruction projects in the certain spheres, as well as assist social and religious facilities and will take the measures for the development of ethno-cultural components of the peoples settled in Azerbaijan. The first step will be made for changing glasses in the Virgin Mary Church in Baku. The acoustical ceiling glasses of the temple will be replaced by the artistic glasses designed with the religious motifs and classical glass painting techniques. A ceramic panel will be installed in the templeâ€™s front elevation.
Heydar Aliyev Foundation sponsored the restoration of Orthodox Church in Baku and construction of education center for the Jewish children within the framework of the project â€œAzerbaijan is the place of toleranceâ€.
